New Review From June 2015  Olcott House B and B
5 of 5 starsReviewed 4 days ago NEW
The Olcott House is an amazing grand experience! The beauty of the home, inside and out, and our exceptional hostess, Kim, made us feel welcome and extremely comfortable. We can't say enough about Kim who was helpful in many ways. She gave excellent suggestions for local restaurants and sights. Kim took patience and pride in all her meal preparations which were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious and filling. It was truly a favorite place we've enjoyed in all our travels, and we would highly recommend the Olcott House for a relaxing stay. If you would like to experience historical grandeur, Olcott House is the place.

“Warm Hospitality & Fabulous Breakfast”
Reviewed July 12, 2013 NEW
This Victorian era inn is recently renovated, beautifully decorated, and we had a comfy bed and a spacious private bathroom. What makes this lovely house a home is its host, Kim, who gave us a warm greeting and excellent advice for the best area eateries. It turned we didn't need to step out the door for the best meal of the weekend. Kim created with love a sumptuous breakfast consisting of a lemony yoghurt parfait with fresh berries and local organic granola. That would have been enough. Following this, she served crispy crabmeat hash browns topped with eggs benedict with a side of bacon (rubbed with brown sugar and cardomom). Everything was delicious! My husband and I are already looking for an excuse to return to North Adams even before the next big MassMoca show--just to stay at this inn.

Another Great Review I'd rather that no one found out about this special place, so that I could always get a room! I found The Inn after calling every place in and around North Adams at the last minute to find lodging near Mass MOCA, where the Solid Sound festival takes place. (Wilco fans know what I'm talking about.) That this place had a vacancy was a small miracle, not only because it's perfectly located--about a 10 minute walk away from MOCA--but also because it is beautiful, clean and run by Kim, the best innkeeper I have ever encountered. Her breakfasts were delicious and she was extremely pleasant and accommodating. My room was gorgeous and HUGE; I got the one with the en suite bath. My only quibble is that the inn is located on Main Street, which can get a lot of traffic, and I really value my quiet time away from the city. There is also a parking lot next door which attracted some skateboarders at 2am. Of course, these are not things the Inn can control. Well, now the secret is out...don't mess this place up for me, people, I'm definitely going back.

Sherburne Inn
Nantucket
The  Inn was a delightful place to stay over a 4-day weekend in Nantucket. The price for the quality and location is really very reasonable. The manager, Kim, was very sweet and helpful with all of our requests. Bike storage, beach bags and towels, luggage holding, you name it. I loved the breakfast baskets, it was a perfect way to slowly wake up in the morning. The only major downside was our room faced directly east and the bright sun was not properly blocked by the shades. More substantial blackout curtains would be a noteworthy improvement. We also did not receive quality wifi within our room, which was a minor nuisance - we spent most of the time outside anyways. All in all, very satisfied with our stay at this pleasant inn.
