WIND BENEATH MY WINGS

Ever have one of those days where you wake up missing someone that has been in your life.
You reflect on your friendship with them and you smile.
Today is one of those days when I woke up and you were on my mind.

Amazing people have walked into my life and left their footprint.
The fabulous five women whom have laughed, cried, shared
and cared for each other for the last 15 years.
A sisterhood that distance will never divide.

Friends that were so important to me but life led us in another direction.
First loves and best friends . As I take time to quiet my mind,
to reflect on the shear laughter and bond that we created, it makes my heart smile.
Even after all these years , a warm hug and hours of conversation abound when we meet.
I still get so excited to just see them and know that we began where we left off.
Not as" NEW friends But KNEW "Friends.

I cherish that fact that I get the chance to laugh with them.
Share a hug and catch up.
Friends come and go but those who stay are truely
"The wind beneath my wings."

Dream It- Believe It- Magic will happen

Dream It
Do you remember when you were little and you still believed that life was magical and exciting.
When Reindeer could fly, the tooth fairy would come and some how Santa got all those presents delivered.
That was an amazing feeling of the unknown but full of excitement that it could come true.
For more than a decade, I held on to a dream of going to a place called
 "Nantucket"

I would pour through books and magazines.
Thank goodness for Coastal Living..
www.coastalliving.com

I imagined what the air would smell like
I envisioned what the sights and sounds
of the cobblestone streets would bring.

It didn't dissappoint.
It was worth every dream.
It was more beautiful than I thought..
It was more breathetaking than I dreamed

I read every book written about Nantucket
 thanks to Elin Hildebrand
So to browse through the charming bookstore
Nantucket Bookworks
 www.nantucketbookworks.com

To sail the Nantucket Harbor
and to be greeted by the locals as if they cared..
And to share it with my best friend in life,

which is just another dream come true.
Brings a big Nantucket smile to my face.

I may never know why this was my dream
I know that with believing, dreaming and a little magic
Things will come together and be better that you even imagined
That was the best feeling ever-
So It is true- I still Believe.
Can't wait for my next dream to come true...

Our Colorful Cottage By the Sea

As our small plane approached the "Faraway Island" known as Nantucket,
I was amazed to find the reason it is called the Grey Lady.

50 Shades of Grey is definately alive on Nantucket-
But it is in the beautiful weathered homes that are framed with
stunning flower boxes and shutters that keep them safe from storms.

With the Odd Nantucket Red Home

But nothing was as colorful as the
Little Cottage By the Sea

Directions on Nantucket are simple
Turn Right Past Millies
Cross the Bridge
Turn left at the mailboxes
Cottage is on the right with Yellow Gate

And there We were. I had found this many years
ago in a magazine. Can you believe we got to stay here.
Doors unlocked, we open to a busrst of Bohemien Color

Ok I have to admit my smile and excitement was bursting
almost as much as the colorful hues .
The quaint cottage made up of vintage fishing shacks
burst with a kalidoscope of hues that you just have to smile

But Wait- An Outdoor Shower-
A warm breeze off the Shore, a Million stars and a warm shower
in Nantucket..

This was the perfect place to spend the last few days
The EelSkin Inn in Madaket

But wait it gets better. Who better to be your Neighbor
But Mister Rogers- Well he was for 38 years
Living in the Neighborhood
 in the Crooked House

My visit and blog to Nantucket has just begun
The Memories will live forever
Just like the a Burst of Poppy in a field of Grey Green Sea Grass
